Wendy is currently a senior lecturer and the PGCE drama subject lead at Wolverhampton University and has worked in schools, colleges and higher education for 18 years. Her specialisms are physical theatre, drama in education and using process drama to explore Holocaust education. She has been an artistic director for her own theatre companies, a director for Shakespeare Schools Festival and a youth theatre director for the National Youth Arts Trust and Shared Experience. She recently created ‘DramaTEN’, which is a network for theatre artists and educators in the Midlands to share excellent practice and collaborate. Its first project was with Vamos Theatre, Blackeyed Theatre and The Arena Theatre, which Wendy is looking to expand further in the future.
