Rosanna Downing
Rosanna has over a decade of experience working in disabilities and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). She holds an undergraduate degree in Performing Arts and a master’s degree in Applied Theatre and Intervention, where she specialised in Theatre in Education and creative approaches for pupils with additional needs.
As part of her master’s research, Rosanna toured a SEND-focused Theatre in Education performance and workshop in Leeds, using puppetry to celebrate and explore the unique strengths and gifts of children with SEND.
Since then, Rosanna has achieved her QTS and PGCE, establishing her career in education. She has found her niche teaching Drama and English in specialist schools, particularly supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), where she combines her creative expertise with her dedication to inclusive education.
