Phil Castang worked as a sound engineer for Adam Ant and Maxi Priest and produced recordings, including Peter Gabriel's Utopia album. Formerly CEO of Newham Music and director of creative learning and engagement at Bristol Beacon, he is now CEO of Music for Youth. He received an MBE for services to music education in 2023.
