Mary-Alice Stack is Chief Executive of Creative United, an entrepreneurial community interest company with a focus on achieving social impact and economic growth and in the arts, cultural and creative industries. Prior to the establishment of Creative United in 2012, she was responsible for the development and launch of the Take it away scheme at Arts Council England.

Now operated by Creative United, Mary-Alice has overseen the successful evolution and growth of the Take it away scheme for nearly 20 years, enabling affordable access to musical instruments for tens of thousands of people across the UK. In 2017, she initiated the establishment of the Inclusive Music Consortium, which focuses on disability access and inclusion in the music sector, primarily through the provision and use of adaptive musical instruments and assistive technology.
