Marlon Hibbert
Marlon is a talented 'pannist' musician and teacher, who established his acclaimed Endurance Steel Orchestra in 2009 aged 17, to share steel pan with other young people. In 2023 Marlon became the very first graduate of steel pan & jazz at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. With international performances and media appearances under his belt, Marlon is introducing live pan to mainstream audiences and integrating the acoustic instrument into a broad range of music collectives and ensembles. In February 2026 he will be performing Upstairs at Ronnies, Ronnie ScottsMarlon’s vision is for a National Youth Orchestra to provide high quality progression for the UKs young ‘pannists’. Especially needed as the well loved Steel Pan has not enjoyed the same level of support of other instrumental ensembles and Marlon is pushing for change. As co-founder of Steel Pan Music CIC Marlon wants to raise the profile of the National Instrument of Trinidad & Tobago here in the UK, especially as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of steel pans' arrival at The Festival of Britain in 1951.
