The Music Teacher Awards for Excellence returned on 6 March 2019 at a glamorous gala evening in the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel in Piccadilly. The event, a highlight of the music education calendar, celebrates the outstanding work that has taken place in the sector across the past year.

The Music Teacher Awards for Excellence returned on 6 March 2019 at a glamorous gala evening in the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel in Piccadilly. The event, a highlight of the music education calendar, celebrates the outstanding work that has taken place in the sector across the past year.

Over the course of the evening, 14 awards were presented across a number of categories that encompass the broad range of music education. The awards were once again hosted by Classic FM’s Anne-Marie Minhall, with the proceedings bolstered by performances from Rocksteady, alumni of the British Youth Opera, and the Yamaha scholar Rob Burton.
