Gecko Theatre

Gecko is an award-winning international physical theatre company led by Artistic Director Amit Lahav. Founded in 2001, it has created 8 critically acclaimed shows, 2 Associate Shows and 2 films, including its National Theatre commission, Kin, exploring racism, migration, family and home. Gecko’s rigorous devising process unites diverse performers to craft universal stories through movement, sound, design and multiple languages. With a deep interest in human experience, the company aims to build empathy by forging emotional connections across cultures. Its Creative Engagement programme extends this mission. Gecko’s work is studied by drama students in the UK and internationally across GCSE, A-Level and IB.
